ZPVP Zentrum für Produkt-, Verfahrens- und Prozeßinnovation GmbH

The Zentrum für Produkt-, Verfahrens- und Prozeßinnovation GmbH (ZPVP) was founded in November 1996 by the city of Magdeburg and the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg(OVGU)with the purpose of establishing and operating a research and transfer center on the university campus. The south-eastern edge of the campus of the University of Magdeburg was chosen as the location, directly in the center of local research institutions such as the Fraunhofer – Institute for Factory Operation and Automation (IFF), the University and the University of Applied Sciences, the Max Planck Institute for Dynamics of Complex Technical Systems, and the Magdeburger Wissenschaftshafen, with which there is close cooperation.

Since 2001, ZPVP has been operating theExperimentelle Fabrik, Magdeburg as a research and transfer center for application-oriented research and development in the field of product, process and procedure innovation. As an operating company, ZPVP provides service and infrastructure for small and medium-sized companies and research institutions. Practically, in the sense of a factory, laboratory, test and office space, co-working space and meeting rooms are available. In addition, ZPVP offers a comprehensive range of services to promote research and development.
